The ABC-2020 has 2 main programs. The RSP for meters with even unit pulses and the HSP for meters where there are many pulses for a single unit of measure.
This is for the RSP which is the proper program for the meter used in the batching system on page this page.
There are 4 settings for the RSP program and we will set those for you before we ship your controller.
Pulse Value: This is simply the amount of liquid that is represented by each pulse. This will be the "resolution" (see below).
Units of Measure: Just a label to let you know what units are being used.
Timeout: The number of seconds from 1 to 250 that can go by without a pulse before it pauses the batch.
0 = disabled. All units ship with this set to 60 seconds.
Lockout: On = you must press an arrow key on the controller before you can start a batch.
The remote button will NOT be able to start a batch until this is done.
1) The RESOLUTION
This is the smallest increment
that you can set the volume by. It's going to be a multiple of the unit of measure the you choose. Options include 10ths of a unit, full units, 10 units, 100 units. We recommend that you never choose a resolution finer than absolutely necessary.
2) LOCKOUT
This simply means that you can only run one batch via the remote button (if you have one). Before a 2nd batch can be run, the operator must interact with the controller's arrow butons to unlock it.
This was developed for users who are selling water to customers where the controller is in a secure area and only accessible by authorized people. The customers are then able to dispense one and only one batch using the remote button at the outle.
Other Details:
Your ABC-2020 will come pre-programmed according to your selection. While it CAN be changed in the field, It must match the pulse rate of the meter, most of which CANNOT.
